BOU ONLINE STORE
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO JOINING OR BUYING ONLINE
When you join or buy online through this website, you will be asked to:
1) Make your selections
a) For membership
- select membership type (new and renewal -- for renewals, you will be asked to provide your member number at checkout)
- select membership category
- select bankers' order option (for renewals)
- click on 'Join now' or 'Renew now'
- you will pass to web pages with the address 'ww8.aitsafe.com'
b) For store purchases
- enter quantity
- select UK order or Overseas surface or Overseas airmail
where the options are offered
- click 'Buy now'
- you will pass to web pages with the address 'ww8.aitsafe.com'
2) Review your selections: you have the following options
- change your selections and click 'Recalculate' (to remove an item, change quantity to '0' and click 'Recalculate')
- use 'Note' box to let us know about any special requests or to provide additional information about your order
- click 'Continue shopping' to return to the BOU Online Store front
- click 'Go to payments' if you are ready to check out
3) Enter contact/shipping details
- name
- company (optional)
- address of member
- phone/fax/email addresses (email needed)
- member number (if renewing BOU membership)
- click 'Continue'
4) Enter credit card details
- credit card owner name
- credit card owner address
- credit card type: Visa or Mastercard
- card number
- card expiry date
5) Submit your application or purchase
- click 'Continue' to submit your order
- your order number will be displayed
- you can return to the BOU Online Store front.
What happens next?
- You will be sent an automated email to confirm your order has been stored securely.
- The credit card account is not debited until your request is processed by the BOU Office.
- When the BOU Office processes your request you will be sent another email to confirm the credit card account has been debited. The account will be debited in UK £ pounds.
- If you have any questions about an order (including membership) please email bou @ bou.org.uk (remove spaces): include your name and address and order number (but NOT the credit card details!).
Is the credit card data collected securely?
- We use industry-standard SSL secured server technology to collect your application and credit card details. Your application or purchase information, including card numbers, names and addresses, is encrypted so that it cannot be read as it travels over the internet.
- The secure server is operated by Mal's E-commerce Limited. When credit card details are being collected your web browser will display the address https://ww5.aitsafe.com and show a closed padlock icon.
