the BOU’s international journal of avian science

The BOU’s has published its international journal of avian science, Ibis, has been published continuously since 1859. There are four issues a year and the papers published cover a variety of topics, including ecology, conservation, behaviour, palaeontology, taxonomy and new species.

Conference proceedings are occasionally published, usually as supplements to Ibis. Recent themes for such published proceedings include Renewable Energy and Birds, Birds and Recreational Disturbance, Woodland Birds, Lowland Farmland Birds, Climate Change and Coastal Birds, Applied Ornithology, Long-term Population Studies, Ecology and Conservation of Palearctic Migrants.
