BOU at British Birdwatching Fair16-18 August 2002
In another hectic year for the BOU at the British Birdwatching Fair (16-18 August 2002), the BOU's Bird Fair Tombola was run to help raise valuable funds for the BOU's work. Every entrant won a prize — pencils, stickers, badges, T-shirts, books — but the top prize of a pair of LEICA 8x32 BN binoculars (worth over £650) was won by budding young birder Harriett Morgan (pictured above) from Huntingdon. Above, Harriet receives her prize, with brother Adam and mum and dad. The best 50p they spent at the fair! The BOU is grateful to its many supporters during the British Birdwatching Fair weekend including Leica Camera Ltd (UK), Minox (Germany), A&C Black (including Christopher Helm and T&AD Poyser titles), Janet Kear, John Turner, Dilys Breese, Peter and Amberley Moore and Chris Feare. |
